*Ambrosia del Cerrado, one of the most unique formulations of skincare I have tried thus far! It is a Vegan, cruelty free, organic, cold pressed, handcrafted, small batch product, as all Earthwise Beauty products are! This is described as a liquid moisturizer/toner. Ambrosia gives more hydration than the conventional toner, but feels lightweight on the skin. Ambrosia del Cerrado was given a Portuguese name to focus on the Cerrado area in Brazil, which is considered the richest savanna in the world by the World Wide Fund of Nature. It is a beautifully colored, golden/orange liquid that has a scent of a freshly opened fruit. There are no added essential oils to this, so it is perfect for someone who is sensitive to them. The Pequi fruit and moringa oil give it the light scent of tropical summer. When I use this, I feel as though I am putting the rays of the sun on my face! (Except it has a cooling effect from the aloe, and it doesn't burn of course!) Like many of Ava's products, this has an aloe base. When I was on vacation I was very drawn to this product. Between using this and the Chamomile & Lavender face gel, I was all set with the perfect skincare combination. This is great for all skin types, oily, combo, and acne prone. It is especially great for those who have acne prone skin, since it doesn't contain any waxes which can cause breakouts. Ambrosia del Cerrado is a lightweight oil that leaves your skin feeling supple and brightened. The oil sinks right into your skin, while keeping you moisturized at the same time. My Thoughts? This was actually one of the first products I had ever tried from Earthwise Beauty in a sample form. I'm going to be honest and say that I was not a fan of this through first impressions. There are a couple reasons for this; I was still using other products that were making my skin unbelievably dry, I hadn't been using Earthwise products that have been extremely nourishing for my skin as I do now, I didn't top it with another moisturizer, and I didn't use it in the way that I do today. Don't let this deter you from trying it if you have dry skin, because I have some tips to spill. Ava recommended that I use this while my face was still damp, and OH MY, did it make a difference! Thank you Ava! I also add another nourishing oil on top of this, such as Magical Babassu, or Marigold Fields. I am elated that she gave me this little piece of advice, because I would have been truly missing out. I decided to buy a big size to dedicate my time and energy towards testing this out fairly, and I am really happy that I did. Sometimes you just have to try things different ways, and see what happens. I am now living for this oil, and it is has become a staple in my routine. Ingredients Aloe barbadensis whole-leaf cold-press juice*, sustainably wildcrafted cold-press unrefined Caryocar braziliensis (pequi) fruit oil, sustainably wildcrafted cold-press unrefined Mauritia flexuosa (buriti) fruit oil, sustainably wildcrafted cold-press unrefined Moringa oleifera seed oil, polysorbate 20 (naturally derived), potassium sorbate (natural preservative), non-GMO tocopherol (vit. E), xanthan gum, ascorbic acid (vit. C), citric acid. *Certified organic. Aloe vera certified by the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) for purity and content. All our imported hand-extracted plant oils are fair trade. I love that Ava spotlights different ingredients from Indigenous places in the world. The Pequi fruit oil is something I had never heard of before. It comes from Brazil and it is packed with nutrients, such as Vitamin A, B1, and B2. This fruit oil helps to give supple, and firm skin. The Moringa oil is a powerhouse of nutrients as well. I have written a blog post on a particular Moringa Oil a while back if you would like to take a read, here. The Buriti oil in this is also known for its anti-aging effects, while also reducing scars and brown spots. Have you been interested in something revolutionary and different to add to your skincare routine?! I recommend checking out Ambrosia! This is part of Earth Wise Beauty's Summer Essentials, you can check out what else they put together for this season, here! & Make sure to follow them on Instagram @Earthwisebeauty. Ava posts the most stunning photos, and has a wealth of knowledge on there. Don't miss out! ;) I also have a 15% off code for you to use, which is 'GreenQueen' As always thanks for reading!! xo
